Biosecurity TASAH

2025 will see the introduction of the Irish Biosecurity Risk Assessment Tool (Bioscore Dairy) TASAH. This TASAH includes a Biosecurity risk assessment of pasture based dairy farms using the Biosecurity Risk Assessment Tool (Bioscore) developed for Irish Dairy farms. This tool facilitates the identification of deficits in biosecurity management practices and generates biosecurity scores allowing comparison between dairy farms and benchmarking nationally. The assessment consists of two parts, a biosecurity questionnaire and a cattle movement records audit. The questionnaire is grouped into three biosecurity areas: risk of disease entry, speed of disease spread and diagnosis of infection. The scores for the three biosecurity areas are generated from information gathered in the farm questionnaire.
